Mr. Pokora

Matthieu Tota (alias Mr. Pokora ) is a Chanteur of R' B born with Strasbourg the September 26th 1985 of Polish origin.

Course

It made its secondary studies at the Vocational school Aristide Briand with Schiltigheim (near to Strasbourg). It obtained its patent.

Former member of the group of Rap Mic Unity, it becomes known general public thanks to the emission of Télé reality Popstars which it gains at the end of the year 2003. With the two others gaining, Lionel and Otis, it forms the group Linkup.

After the separation of the group, Mr. Pokora starts a career solo and collaborates with producing S of reference in the medium Hip hop and R' B, the famous Kore & Scalp.

After having initially used the pseudonym “Matt Pokora”, it is constrained to change name and to become “Mr. Pokora” following the Procès brought and gained by the singer Matt, to avoid confusion between the two artists of musical style near.

It leaves its first album solo in 2005. This one is certified disc of gold.

In 2006, its second album entitled Player appears, directly first of the signal of the sales of albums, and later certified disc of platinum. On this album, it calls in particular upon Bionix (Rachid Mir & Christian Dessart), a duet of producers based in Brussels, and collaborates with Red Rat and Zoxea.

In 2006, Ricky Martin invited Mr. Pokora for the individual one in Duo It' S alright .

In 2006, Mr. Pokora starts a round, " Player Tour" , of more than thirty dates, crowned by a concert with the General sports Palate of complete Paris Bercy posting. It currently prepares two new albums, one in English intended for international and a French second for the French-speaking countries. He currently works with the producer Timbaland and Ryan Leslie.
