Mqabba is a small village of the south of Malta, inhabited by 2.700 people. Known for its deposits of Calcareous, one finds there fossils of animals now disappeared. One finds also Catacombe S paléo-Christian women in the village, named Ta' Mintna. It is as in Mqabba as St Mary Fireworks Factory is, a manufacturing plant of fires of artifices, leader on the matter in Malta who is re-elected for the magnificience of his pyrotechnical spectacles. Among the other masonries worthy of mention, it there with the Vincenti tower and some vaults, such as St-Basel, Our-Lady-of-Sorrows, St-Jean and Co.-Catherine-in Alexandria. The principal church is however dedicated to the Assumption of Notre-Dame. Put aside the festival of Sainte-Marie (Santa Marija), where fires of artifices of very high level can be admired, the festival of Our-Lady-of-Lily is also celebrated.
