Moxy
Moxie is a Trimaran of competition, victorious of the English Transat 1980 or OSTAR; it sails always today, based with Port-Leucate.
History
Moxie is conceived by Dick Newick and is built by Walter Greene. On its board, Phil Weld gains the English Transat 1980, Ostar at the time by establishing a new record of the test in 17 days 23 hours and 12 mn.
After its victory, the boat was given to the naval Academy for the training of the officers, but the boat is misused. James Rubenstein is his following conservative.
Walter Greene ensures maintenance until July 2002 of it, date on which Moxie is resold in Craig Alexander. This last recrosses the Atlantic above and will join the Mediterranean coasts, where it yields the trimaran in September 2006 to Stephan François.
