Words

The words of the refrain of Asereje want nothing to say, they are difficult to pronounce (Virelangue); in fact, they phonetically pronounce ( yoghourt ) the first words of the song Rap of Sugarhill Gang, Rapper' S Delight (1979):

I said has hip hop the hippie the hippie
Aserejé, ja, dejé, dejebe
to the hip hip hop, has you don' T stop:
you dejebere sebiounouba
the rock'n'roll it to the bang bang boogy say up jumped the boogy
majabi you of bugui
to the rhythm off the boogy, the happy:
year of buididipí

Anecdotes

The name of the group and the title of the album ( tired hijas LED tomato ) make reference to their father, Juan Muñoz, a guitarist of Flamenco called Tomate .
