MAS-IPSP (Movement for socialism - Instrument Political of the Sovereignty of the People)
The movement towards socialism or the FARMHOUSE for Movimiento Al Socialismo in Spanish is a political party Bolivia N of left founded the July 23rd 1987 and directed by Evo Morales.
Organization
The FARMHOUSE according to Evo Morales even is not to him " not a political party, but an instrument of the movements sociaux" . Thus its structure is particular in the direction or it gathers the social forces of the country (trade unionists, movements of citizens.)
Results
With the legislative elections of 2002, the party gains 11,9% of the voices, 27 seats out of 130 with the House of Commons and 8 seats out of 27 with the senate. With the presidential elections of 2002, Evo Morales gains 20,9% of the voices what places it in second position right behind Gonzalo Sánchez de Lozada. These results have surprised all the traditional political parties. Evo Morales even thanked the ambassador for it for the the United States, Manuel Rocha, for its interventions: “ Each intervention of Rocha Handbook against us, helps us to develop us and awake the conscience of the peuple ”. The ambassador Manuel Rocha had indeed informed the Bolivian ones that if they voted for Evo Morales, various helps coming from the United States would be removed and that those would close their markets with them; but these threats did nothing but reinforce the credibility of the FARMHOUSE. In 2005, It leads to the presidency of the Republic its leader, Evo Morales.
Doctrines
The FARMHOUSE also defends the growers of Coca. Evo Morales articulated the goals of her party in the need for obtaining the national unit and for setting up a new hydrocarbon law which guarantees that 50% of the incomes are for Bolivia. However, the leader of the FARMHOUSE recently interviewed is interested by the complete nationalization of oil and gas industries.May 1st 2006, the Parliament Bolivia N votes the nationalization of hydrocarbons. The foreign oil companies (French, States-Unienne and Brazil ienne) must renegotiate their contracts with Bolivia to be in agreement with the new law. Indeed, these companies will not be expropriées because Bolivia needs to know to them to make.
