Movement high-school pupil

The movements high-school pupils in France find their origin in the movement studied May 68, but also more recently in the reaction of part of the Lycée NS with certain national or international political events. These movements are étroitements related to the existence of a multitude of various organizations, energy of the trade unions high-school pupils with the committees of action high-school pupils (C.A.L.), while passing by a whole of independent small groups.

Organizations

The main organizations taking part and/or impelling the movements high-school pupils are first of all the " trade unions " , which is actually associations law 1901 with trade-union goal, high-school pupils not profiting yet from the trade union rights, contrary to the prerogatives of the French Constitution. Those profit from a budget, a visibility and a scale more important than the other structures. In addition, coordinations (high-school girl or coed) are systems set up during the great mobilizations against headlights projects (for example, the law Fillon into 2004/2005) to make it possible to the high-school pupils car-to organize itself. This type of organization allowing to increase the effectiveness of the actions, the Demonstration S and the claims.

Mobilizations

Against the CIP (1994)

The movement against the CIP is one moment hinge in the movement high-school pupil. The conflict of 1986 had allowed the structuring of the FIDL as one of the organizations close to S.O.S Racism of which some their executives then will pass to the UNEF-ID first of all in the minority close to the socialist Left then in the majority. The CIP was one of the elements which allowed the emergence of the National union high-school girl, new organization created by the Majority of the MJS, old of the Forum clubs which will form a few months " later; News gauche". The UNL had a structuring more national than the FIDL especially concentrated on the Paris region. Against the law Fillon (January-May 2005)

In 2005, the mobilization high-school girl against the law of orientation and program for the future of the school, known as " law Fillon " , which founded, according to its detractors, an education with the reduction with the service of the economy, was one of most important of the history of the movements high-school pupils in France. Against the Contract First Engages (February-April 2006)

Article 8 of bill of the Government Dominique de Villepin on the equal opportunity, setting up the Contrat First Engages, deposited in January, involved a very broad protest movement (integrating even UDF, recently separated from the hard Right), where the high-school pupils illustrated themselves once again, by their energy slicing with the hesitant behaviors of the trade unions. If their mobilization were numerically weaker than at the time of spring 2005, one can note an evolution there. A politicized fringe continued in the colleges, having made its education in the preceding movement or at the time of the riots of the autumn 2005, generally in position of observer. This assertion was done according to two axes, firstly by the organizations " classiques" , mainly the trade unions high-school pupils, more rarely the CAL; and in parallel, in groups of friends much less serious and can be more innovating politically. It is necessary to note the new or reinforced establishment trade unions high-school pupils in the provincial towns.
