Movement for the national reform

The Mouvement for the national reform is an Algerian islamist political party chaired by Abdallah Djaballah. The party arrived 3rd at the time of the presidential elections of 2004 with 5% of the voices. At the time of the legislative elections it obtained 9.5% of the votes, and counts 43 deputies at the Parliament. They are opposed in particular to the revision Code of the Algerian family.

For the municipal elections of November 29th, 2007, and the general surprise, this party present of the joint lists with the Movement of the Islamic Rebirth, with which however existed divergences of government scheme.
