The Movement for the Emancipation of the Delta of Niger or MEND (of English Movement for the Emancipation off the Niger Delta ) is a movement militant Nigerian which fights against the exploitation and the oppression of the people of the Delta of Niger. The MEND fights particularly against the oil companies and the federal government of Nigeria.

This radical movement is declared ready to use the weapons like means of fight. He thus dissociates MOSOP, movement Non violent very active in the years 1980 and 1990, which became much less active after the execution of its leader Ken Saro-Wiwa.
