Today the Ostréiculture (Huître S the Vendée-Atlantic) replaced salt, but since 2002 salt returns, saltworks of 16 oieillets was resteuré and is visited, indeed this marsh in Moutiers was composed of small saltworks the majority of less than 16 eyelets, which could suppose that locally these saltworks are very old.

As the village is located in a Bay, there is a kind of microclimate where the temperatures are hotter practically on average of 3°C compared to the remainder of the corner, the sea can reach on the beach the 30°C exceptionally to see the 35°C in summer as in 2003. 25°C in water in summer is not rare when the weather is rather hot. At Easter, the sea can reach certain afternoons the 20°C when the weather is rather hot. In summer, the 40°C were already reached plusieures time and the average temperatures after midday are around the 27°C (According to my statements). The sunning is rather high there like overall on the south-Loire littoral.
