Geography

History

The history of the commune is especially marked by the rock shelter of the Pulpit with Calvin, where Jean Calvin would have come précher. Although very probable, there is no true proof of its passage.

Located at a few hundred meters of this shelter, the old paper mill the Rock is another important part of the history of Mouthiers-on-Boëme. It is today in the course of restoration to be refitted and livable.
