Economy
It is in the factory of Moustier-on-Sambre division glass of Glaverbel produces twenty-four hours out of twenty-four, with its four Float S (continuous production line of the raw materials to the ribbon of glass) and its seven hundred and ten people, of the sheets of 6 m on 3,21 Mr. In his sector, the factory of glass of Moustier- on-Sambre is largest of the world, with a production of 2 500 tons of flat glass per day and more than two hundred trucks. Often, this glass will be then transformed: double glazing, Laminated glass, Mirror S… It is about a pilot firm as regards innovation of glass on line. That is explained easily because the area inherited a Walloon long tradition in the manufacture of glass. It is with Jumet that nearly one hundred forty people (civil engineers, doctors of sciences…) work with the research center and development of Glaverbel to also improve and develop the products of “tomorrow”, and to think of the improvement of the manufactoring processes.
