Mount Isa
Mount Isa ( Mount Isa ) (: 23550 inhabitants) is a city (" city") located in the western north of the Queensland, in Australia. Its existence is due to the presence, under and around it, of vast mining deposits .
One can say that the city started to exist starting from 1923 when John Campbell Miles discovered a rich layer of money and of Plomb on the western edge of the field of Cloncurry. Copper and Zinc are also extracted and the ore is transferred onto 900 kilometers towards the city and the port of Townsville, on the east coast. The mine is the benchmark most significant in the sector, with the column of the 265 height meters foundry of lead, visible of any point of the city. The too strong concentration of the lead grounds caused the resignation of the mayor on March 18th, 2007 ()
