Mouloud Feraoun

Mouloud Feraoun is a writer kabyle Algérie N of French expression born the March 8th 1913 in Tizi Hibel into high Kabylie (Algérie) and victim with Algiers the March 15th 1962, with five of his/her colleagues inspectors of State education, of the Assassinat of Royal Castle allotted to OAS.

Studying at the Teacher training school of Algiers, he teaches during several years before being appointed inspector of the social centres. Biography

Born on March 8th, 1913 in the village from Tizi-Hibel (old mixed commune of Extremely-National), its name east Has-Chabane, Feraoun being the name allotted by the French registry office. He attends the school of Tizi-Hibel starting from the 7 years age. In 1928, he is stock-broker at the Higher Elementary school of Tizi-Ouzou. He enters to the Teacher training school of Bouzaréa in 1932 when he becomes acquainted with Emmanuel Roblès. In 1935, it is named teacher with Tizi-Hibel where it marries his Dehbia cousin of which it will have 7 children. In 1946, it is transferred to Taourirt-Foamed. In 1952, it is named director of the Course Complementary to Extremely-National. In 1957, named principal Nador of Close-Salembier, it leaves Kabylie for the heights of Algiers.

In 1951, it is in correspondence with Albert Camus, on July 15th, it finishes the ground and blood rewarded in 1953 by the Prix for the populist novel. In 1960, he is Inspecteur of the Social centres to Castle-Royal close to Ben-Aknoun. With five of his/her colleagues, it is there that he is assassinated by OAS on March 15th, 1962 at four days of the cease-fire. Mouloud Feraoun began its first autobiographical novel the son of poor the in 1939; it is published only in 1950 on account of author. It is only into 1954 that the Threshold publishes it expurgé of the 70 pages relating to the Teacher training school of Bouzaréa.

The editions of the Threshold publish, in 1957, the ways which go up, the translation of the Poems of If Mohand being published by the Editions of Midnight in 1960. Its Newspaper, written of 1955 to 1962 is given to the Threshold in February 1962 and will be published only after its death.
