Moulineaux

Moulineaux is a common French, located in the department of the Seine-Maritime and the area High-Normandy.

Geography

History

The king Richard Lion-hearted remained there.

Robert the Devil gave his name to a castle, located at Moulineaux in edge of a13 highway. But no proof of its construction by this character exists.

During the Franco-German war, in December 1870 - January 1871, the mobiles, much lower of number, hold head with the 20  000 Prussians of Manteuffel who had crossed the the Seine on the ice. A War memorial the was set up in 1901.

  • Church Saint-Jacob (12th century), Jubé and stained glasses.
  • Castle known as of “Robert Devil” (closed with the public since 2003). A fire on May 26th, 2007 destroyed the floors of the Northern tower.
