Moudawana
The Moudawana is the Moroccan Droit of the family . It was revised in February 2004 by the Moroccan Parlement and received the assent of the king Mohammed VI. This revision, which improves inter alia the women's right, caused the anger of the fundamentalist .
The code
Many aspects of the family life are covered by Moudawana:

the Polygamy, while remaining authorized, becomes more difficult. The assent of the first Femme becomes obligatory.

- the marriage of the Morrocans according to the laws of other countries is recognized like valid.
- the possibility for a Moroccan woman of transmitting her Nationalité to his/her children is not recognized in Moudawana, but after a public campaign is collected in the new code of nationality, king Mohammed VI authorized it in October 2006; the law was approves at the Parliament. of Nationality Morrocan
