Moucheté marsupial cat
The marsupial cat moucheté or marsupial cat mottled ( Dasyurus viverrinus , in English Eastern Quoll or Eastern Native Cat ), is a carnivorous Espèce of Marsupial of the kind Dasyurus which one meets in Australia. He is regarded as missing on the continent but there remains relatively abundant in Tasmanie because of the absence of Dingo S and of Renard S. It is one of the six Espèce S of remaining Dasyurus .
Description
It is size of small a cat domesticates with an average length of 60 cm and a weight of 1,3 kg. Its thick fur varies clear beige with brown almost black and is strewn with white spots except on the belly and the tail. It is distinguished from the marsupial Chat to tail mottled by its meaner stoutness, its more pointed muzzle and the absence of tasks on the tail.
Lifestyle
It is a solitary carnivore, driving out the night of the Insecte S and from small the Mammifère S. It can go to dispute its food with the Diable of Tasmanie, much larger than him.
Reproduction
The season of the loves starts at the beginning of the winter and the female can give birth up to 30 small but only those which will be able to cling to the one of the six udders of the mother will survive. Weaning is done at 10 weeks and the young people remain with the nest while the mother drives out.
