Motor de aire
the Six was a group of famous type-setters who wrote in France in first half of the 20th century. The name, in reference to the Group of the Five, their was given by the critic and type-setter Henri Collet in an article of the review Comœdia of January 16th, 1920 entitled five Russian, six French and Mr. Satie . Their music reacted primarily against the impressionism and the wagnerism. They were very influenced by the ideas of Erik Satie and Jean Cocteau. Although they wrote Musique collectively, each one nevertheless succeeded in keeping its personal style.
