Demography

History

The commune of Meillerie was created of that of Thollon. The parish existed since 1765. The limit between Meillerie and the commune of Thollon were modified by the decree of January 9th, 1867.

The " Rock of Jean-Jacques Rousseau" is located at the top of the village in the east. See the epistolary novel " The Héloïse" News; IV letter 17, Julie and St Valiant knight with the rock of Meillerie.
