Mothersbaugh mark

Mark Al Mothersbaugh is a Musicien, Compositeur, Chanteur, Acteur and painter American born the May 18th 1950 with Akron, Ohio (the United States).

Career

While Mothersbaugh studied art at the university of Kent State, it met there Gerald Casale and Bob Lewis. The May 4th 1970, the shootings of the guard of Ohio on the students who protested against the war with the Kampuchea pushed Mark, Jerry and Bob to found Devo, in answer to the " dévolution" (opposite of evolution) of the human race.

Since Devo, Mothersbaugh composed of the film original soundtracks, working inter alia with Wes Anderson for Bottle Rocket , Rushmore , the Family Tenenbaum and the Aquatic life . It also composes for Cartoons and Video games. It formed a company of musical production, Mutato Muzika, with his brother Bob Mothersbaugh and some former members of Devo.

Mark also composed the music of the publicity campaign Get has Mac Apple (seen with the TV and on Internet in 2006/2007)

Life

Without glasses, Mark is " aveugle". To the 7 years age, it was taken along to the Ophtalmologiste where it accepted his first pair of glasses. He saw then for the first time " smoke leaving the chimneys and the oiseaux". After a first " expérience" world, it started to draw, and its mistress of CE1 admired her drawings. This same night, he dreamed being a known artist. In addition to the music, Mark continues to paint (in a influenced style of the Surréalisme and by Andy Warhol).

Mark is member of the Church off the SubGenius , a Parodie of religion making fun of the Scientologie, consumption, the worships, and the marketing of the religion. It produced songs and graphic arts for this church.
