Most cherished liberty is a French federation of associations created in March 2001 under name Liberté, I write your name , aiming at promoting the liberal thought . Association refuses any public allocation: its resources come from its members and its financial partners.
History
In 2001, Freedom, I write your name is rested by students carried out by Edouard Fillias. Association was limited then to the organization of think tanks de on the liberal thought and debates on the theses of the principal liberal philosophers .Its initial name had been selected in reference to the poem of Paul Éluard, nobody however very far away from the ideology of this association. According to the leaders of the time this choice had been made to mark the fact that liberalism is not necessarily of right-hand side: association since always refused to be catalogued on the right like on the left. The leaders often showed besides a stronger support for Tony Blair than with Jacques Chirac against which it organized a happening in May 2005 besides. For reasons of memorizing and constraints data-processing (in particular Internet), it decides to re-elect Most cherished liberty.
In 2003, association decides to promote its ideas by developing a more militant strategy. June 15th, 2003, with its call to be expressed “in favor of the reforms and against blockings”, 30 000 people according to Le Monde (18 000 according to the police force, 150.000 according to the organizers) ravelled Châtelet with the Place of the Harmony to Paris to denounce blockings of the trade unions within the framework of the debate on the Law Fillon on the retirements. Association had as a watchword “yes to the reforms” (without necessarily supporting the Fillon reform) and “not to blockings”. Since, association organized other counter-demonstrations, in particular in Marseilles in November 2005 during the conflict of RTM.
Into January 2004, association is transformed into a federation of active associations in all the Hexagon.
During the year 2004, association follows a policy of pushed communication, with more than one passage media every two days. September 29th, 2004, it Co-organizes with other associations the first Meetings of the reform to the Maison of Chemistry, Paris, to propose and defend six great reforms in the presence of 70 deputies and 2 ministers.
Means of action
- Counter-demonstrations to protest against blockings and recurrent strikes at the time of the great social conflicts. For example:
- protest movement against Law Fillon on the retirements of June 2003
- strike of RTM of November 2005
- In March and April 2006, Most cherished liberty organized 4 counter-demonstrations in 4 weeks in order to denounce the blocking of the universities by the Mouvement anti-CPE. Opposed to CPE, association said to accept only one “serf of others like means to arrive at its fine policies”. Largest of these demonstrations anti-locking brought together 6000 people according to the organizers and 2000 according to the police force between the place of Châtelet and the Place of the Bastille.
The November 18th 2007, following the strikes relating to the reform of the Special diets of retirement, association called with a great civil demonstration against all blockings place of the Republic in the Place of the Nation. It joined together between 8 and 20.000 people.

Ideas
Ideology
Most cherished liberty has as an ambition to diffuse the liberal thought within the French company, in particular the individual responsibility or the autonomy of the individual, and to fight against the Socialisme, which she considers being a dangerous ideology. It falls under the tradition of the political Libéralisme: she pleads for a drastic limitation of the size of the State. She wishes a company of equal rights, of which all kinds of privileges and “statutes will thus be removed”.For Most cherished liberty, the liberal thought was mainly represented and developed in France by Turgot, Benjamin Constant, Jean-Baptiste Say, Frederic Bastiat or, more recently, Jean-François Revel and Pascal Salin. But also, abroad, by John Locke, Friedrich Von Hayek, Ludwig von Mises, Ayn Rand or Milton Friedman.
Most cherished liberty wants to be at the same time a political association, gathering the liberals of all tendencies, and a Think liberal tank.
Topics
Most cherished liberty has the role to treat topics which “block more the French company”. It published its first list of reform proposals on the trade unionism, education, employment, the retirement schemes and of health insurance.Some points considered to be “key” and proposed by Most cherished liberty:
- Employment
- Simplification of the Labor regulation, free negotiation of the terms of the work contract enters the employer and the employee.
- Amélioration of the operation of the education system, considered as “factory unemployed”.

- Suppression of the contributions reprocesses obligatory to allow a free saving and to facilitate the purchase of its housing.

Organization
Most cherished liberty asserts nearly 2.000 members. The structure functions with 25 persons in charge at the federal level and nearly 100 distributed in its about fifteen local committees.The successive Presidents since 2001 were: Edouard Fillias, Christophe Maillard, Aurélien Minnow and Vincent Ginocchio who is the current President since February 2006. Christophe Maillard always forms part of the steering committee of association.
The founders (Edouard Fillias and Sabine Herold) are, since March 2006, respectively president and spokesperson of the political party liberal Alternative. Although always members of Most cherished liberty, they do not exert there any more a responsibility. Most cherished liberty declares being completely independent of Liberal Alternative and maintains even the variations of sight on certain subjects. Besides association affirms to be wary of any political party whatever it is.
The Steering committee of association is currently composed of Vincent Ginocchio, Christophe Maillard, Vincent Poncet, Guillaume Vuillemey and Jacques de Guénin.
