Mosque Bania Bachi
The Mosque Bania Bachi (Bulgarian: Банябашиджамия, Banya bashi dzhamiya; Turkish: Banya Başı Camii) is a Bulgarian Mosquée being with Sofia. It is one of the oldest mosques of Europe, it was built in 1576. The mosque draws its name from Bania Bachi an expression which means " many bains". The architect of the mosque is Mimar Sinan one of the more great architects of the Ottoman Empire.
Today, the mosque Bania Bachi is the only mosque still under operation in Sofia, it is used by the Muslim community of the city estimated at approximately 8.614 people.
