Moshe haDarshan

Rav Moshe HaDarshan (Brace the Preacher) is the first scholar of Provence whose writings are known and were quoted by later rabbinical authorities, like Rachi and Rabbenou Tam

Wire of Rabbi Yaakov wire of Rabbi Moshe wire of Rabbi Avoun, first Rosh Yeshiva (main of academy) of Narbonne, he inherits this position after those.

He composes an anthology of Midrash im (translated, but incorrectly, by " sermons") according to the verses of the Torah, intersected with its own analyzes and examples of remezim (allusions) and gematriot.
Rachi quotes in many places of its comment the " Yessod de Rabbenou Moshe HaDarshan".

Rabbenou Tam the account, with his/her brother Rav Levi, among the greatest halakhic authorities of the country.
