Mortal Kombat Advance
Mortal Kombat Advance (commonly shortened MKA) is a Video game of combat developed by the company Virtucraft. It is a “reduced” version of Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 , with which MKA shares the history and the characters. However, the play was badly accommodated by criticism as by the players.
Gameplay
The Gameplay is regarded as difficult and being badly conceived. The CPU (the electronic adversary) can connect massive combos quickly and beat the player in a few seconds. Moreover, 2 buttons are absent compared to the Pad S of other consoles such as for example the Super Nintendo; this reduces the choice of the various possible blows so that it is possible here only to give either a punch, or a kick, consequently reducing the special blows and the development of strategies of varied attacks. With final, there are no improvement or difference with respect to UMK3 with share the lack of buttons (what is not ascribable that with the material) and the badly proportioned difficulty, sometimes exaggerated.
Characters
MKA contains all the combatants of the versions Super Nintendo and Megadrive of UMK3, namely: Cyrax, Ermac, Jade, Jax, Kabal, Kano, Kitana, Kung Lao, Liu Kang, Mileena, Noob Saibot, Nightwolf, Rain, Reptile, Scorpion, Sektor, Shang Tsung, Sindel, Smoke, Sonya Blade, Kurtis Stryker, Sub-Zero and Classic Sub-Zero. Three hidden characters will be also found: Shao Kahn (the boss), Motaro (the under-boss) and Human Smoke, human version of the Smoke cyber-ninja.
