Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance

Mortal Kombat : Deadly Alliance (commonly shortened MK: DA) is a Video game of combat, which chronologically represents the fifth title of the series '' Mortal Kombat ''. It was developed and produced by Midway, and it left in France on February 14th, 2003 on GameCube, PlayStation 2, Xbox, Game Boy Advance.

Synopsis

Whereas it tries to escape Scorpion in the wells from Netherealm , Quan Chi discovers an ancient tomb which contains the remainders of the momifiés army corps very powerful of the King of the Dragon, the first emperor of the Outworld . Quan Chi then decides to find a manner of entirely establishing hearts of warriors for ressusciter this malefic army. To arrive to its ends, he proposes an alliance with the wizard malefic Shang Tsung and immortality promises to him if he accepts to help it with ressusciter the army. Shang Tsung accepts and Alliance Mortal (“ Deadly Alliance ”) is thus created. However, before claiming with a total domination of the kingdoms, the two wizards decide to destroy only the two beings which could prevent their objective of absolute conquest. The first was Shao Kahn, the emperor of the Outworld . Once killed, they travelled then towards the Earthrealm by means of a known powerful mystical gate only of the two wizards and certain gods, and attacked the uncontested champion of Mortal Kombat: Liu Kang . Whereas Tsung was clearly losing the combat, Quan Chi joined him and finally took the top; Shang Tsung was hargnement eager to take its revenge on its defeat against Liu Kang in the first Mortal Kombat …

Liu Kang died.

After having consumed its heart, they returned in the Outworld where the hearts of the demolished warriors are used for ressusciter the army of King de Dragon. If they succeed, the two wizards will be invincible. While waiting, in the Earthrealm , another alliance is formed by Raiden and the largest warriors of the kingdom of the Earth in order to fight the new alliance of the Evil…

Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance follows Mortal Kombat Gold and precedes Mortal Kombat: Mystification .

Innovations in MK: DA

models of the characters of MK: DA are much more detailed, technically advanced and graphically that those of Mortal Kombat 4 .
characters of MK: DA have each one three techniques of combat: two martial arts with naked hands, and a technique of combat with one or two weapons (swords, knives…). The player can rock of a technique to another with a button. Each one of these techniques of combat has blows which are clean for him, then offering a great diversity of gameplay . Each combatant has moreover two special movements, independent of the technique of combat used.
MK: DA has a “Krypt” where the player can buy things like equipment, hidden characters, images, sketches, Easter egg S , by using several types of parts (the “Koins” ) gained in the mode “Konquest” and in the play solo in various manners.
MK: DA presents a mode “Konquest” which uses the history of each one and acts as course of instruction ( tutorial ) for each characters.
MK: DA never left on arcade; it left directly on consoles.
Two mini-plays (of variable difficulty) are also available: “Test your Might” (“Test your force”) and “Test your Sight” (“Test your sight”). They make it possible to gain Koins .
the interaction with the decoration exists but it remains summary (columns, statues, acid…).
MK: DA marks the return to pure violence and with the gameplay sinks, with the suppression of the Bability , and others Friendship of the preceding MK.
