The Hémimétaboles are a type of Insecte S which derive from the subclass of the Ptérygote S and which are characterized by a progressive development, without motionless stage between the larva and the adult, their larvae resemble Imago S without wings. There are three stages: egg, larva and adult, or Imago.
Among the hémimétaboles finds itself:
- the Orthoptéroidé S
- the Hémiptéroidé S
The hémimétaboles are divided into two subcategories:
- Paurometabolous S: the larva and the adult live in the same medium
- the Hétérométabole S: the larva and the adult live in different mediums
