Morro da Fumaça
Morro da Fumaça is a city Brésil ienne southern of the State of Santa Catarina. It is located by a Latitude of 28° 39 ' 03" south and by a Longitude of 49° 12 ' 36" west, with a Altitude of 18 meters. Its population was estimated at: 16161 inhabitants in 2006. The municipality extends on 83 km ². It belongs to the Carboniferous Metropolitan region.
History
The first inhabitants of Morro da Fumaça were the Indians Carijós. The first Europeans to arrive in the area, around 1900, come from Bielorussia. They lived mainly of the breeding Porcin. In 1910, they sell their grounds to Italian immigrants who are established in these places and are regarded as the founders of the city.September 6th 1931 the district of Morro da Fumaça is established, attached to Urussanga. The city becomes a municipality with whole share the May 20th 1962.
