Morphotectonique
The morphotectonic is a discipline of the Géologie or more generally of the Géosciences which studies the morphological consequences of the tectonic processes and erosion.
The morphology of the landscape is the resultant of processes known as endogenous (Tectonique, Volcanisme…) and exogenic (erosion, Climate…). The dynamics of the landscape is thus function of the whole of these processes. The morphotectonic tent thus to include/understand the influences of each one of these processes. This discipline thus impressed of the traditional methods of geology, like the field studies (Cartography…) but also of the modern methods like the Teledetection. Thus, since now about thirty years, geologists exert this discipline on Ground and Mars.
