The Type Morlon is a type of engraving of the Franc French drawn and engraved by Pierre-Alexandre Morlon starting from 1931 and which had a use until in 1959. He was also the creator of postage stamps.
This model was useful for parts of 50 centimes, 1 franc and 2 francs. The avers of the part represents a head of the republic of profile, capped Phrygian cap decorated of a rosette and of a corn ear crown and sheets of oak, captions circular FRENCH REPVBLIQVE and signature Morlon . The reverse presents two horns of plenty on both sides of the facial value, in top, LIBERTE-EGALITE-FRATERNITE , bellow, the date between two different, the engraver (a horn of plenty: Morlon, and the general engraver, a wing: Lucien Bazor).
The first emission of 1931 succeeds 10 years the disturbed period according to war where the token coinages rare and were replaced by the Monnaie of need and the emission of the Bon for of the chambers of commerce 50c, 1F, and 2F of the Domard engraver. The reform of the Franc Poincaré of 1928 brought a handing-over of the French monetary system flat.
