The Sporting union Morlaàs Rugby is a club of Rugby French located at Morlaàs (Yrénées-Atlantiques).

History

The Sporting Morlanaise Union and patriotic barrel created in 1911. The purpose of it was to organize the sports activities, but also the military preparation. It is into 1932 that the section Rugby is born and that is born the Sporting union Morlanaise Rugby. The first platforms will be built in 1962. Others, more modern and more roomy will be born in 1975. This same year, the team first reaches the second division. The flag team will rise in the first division (B) Group in 1997.

At the conclusion of the season 2006-07, US Morlaàs at the head finishes its hen of Fédérale 2 and obtains the right to play in Fédérale 1 (that is to say the Third national Division) for the season 2007-08. The club had already reached this level in 1994-95 and 2000-01 to go down again after only one season. With for objective the maintenance in Federal 1 at the time of the season 2007-08, the club recruited intelligently by signing three former professionals (SIGNAL 14 and Pro D2): Sebastien Bria, Guillaume Chasseriau and Jean-Marc Souverbie. While being also pressed on starts-up of the club and some good players of the clubs neighborhood, Morlaàs wishes to perennialize its statute of team from Federal 1, for the first time of its history.
