Morelle de Linné

The morelle of Linné is a plant of the family of the Solanacées and kind Solanum (the morelles ones). Scientific name: Solanum linnaeanum . Synonym: Solanum sodomaeum (or Solanum sodomeum ). Originating in Africa, it is naturalized on the circumference the Mediterranean N, where it pushes at the edge of the ways, in the stony waste lands and places, in particular at the seaside. Flowering from May to September.

Description

long-lived Plant shrubby, being able to reach up to 3 meters, but generally much smaller. The whole of the plant is very thorny, branches, Feuille S and chalice. Deeply lobed, petiolate oval sheets. Fleur S purple pale. The Fruit S are bay S from 2 to 3 cm in diameter, initially marbled of green and white, then yellow orange. They are called sometimes apples of Sodome (see Pommier of Sodome).
