Synopsis

Freddy Benson, small swindler who lives by plucking credulous women, arrives at Beaumont-on-Sea on the Riviera. Lawrence Jamison, another swindler who prefers to take for victims only fortunate women and who also operates in the small town, do not see an good eye the arrival of this competitor. To get rid of Freddy, Lawrence decides to teach the " to him; rudiments of the métier" before launching a bet to him: the first which manages to extort five hundred and thousand dollars from Janet, a coldly made woman, will be able to remain and the losing one will have to leave the city…
