Mordelles

Mordelles ( Mordèll in Gallo) is a common French, located in the department of Ille-et-Vilaine and the area Brittany.

The inhabitants are the Mordellais .

Geography

Mordelles is located on the axis Rennes-Lorient, to 14 km in the south-west of Rennes. Its southern limit is the river of the Meu.

History

The name Mordelles comes from Mauricella (cell or hermitage of the Moor) which gave Morzelles thereafter.
