Moors of Bordeaux
The Landes of Bordeaux formerly indicated all the area of the Landes of Gascogne: vast triangle corresponding to the sandy plain of the Moors, energy of Soulac in North with Hossegor in the South, while passing by Nérac in the East. Today name " Moors of Bordeaux" indicates the part of the Forêt of the Moors in immediate contact with the agglomeration of Bordeaux.
It is in Pessac that Pierre Hugues carried out the first tests of a revolutionary system for the Gemmage of the pines, that it will brevettera in the middle of the 19th century: the upward pot (Pot of resin).
Geography
The Moors of Bordeaux are limited to North by the Médoc, to the west by the Pays of Buch and to the South by the High-Moor
