Monument of the Junction

The first monument: a stele

To commemorate the junction with the Nod-on-Seine of the 2 French Armies taking part in the fight against the Nazis, a small stele was installed on the edge of the trunk road 71, in the commune.

The new monument

A new stele, larger, was installed at the time of a birthday of Jonction.

However, its visibility left something to be desired too much, and of the inhabitants asked that the municipality do something. Under the presidency of Hector Gioffredi, the Rural household of the Nod-on-Seine, especially, proposed that the commune gets disarmed military vehicles.

Vehicles

Following the elections of 2001, this idea was adopted by the municipality. A request near the Ministry for Defense made it possible to install two vehicles symbols of the Libération: a half-track vehicle and a Jeep.
Panels were also installed at each entry of the village on the RN 71, improving the visibility of the événement.
