Montreuillon
Montreuillon is a common French, located in the department of the Nievre and the area Burgundy.
Geography
Between the entry of the Greece in the Euro area on January 1st 2001 and the entry of the Slovenia at January 1st 2007, Montreuillon was the geographical center of the euro area succeeding in that the commune of Blancafort, according to a calculation carried out by IGN. The geographical center of the euro area east from now on located at Mhère with a few kilometers, since January 1st 2007.
History
The name of the commune would come from the name of a field and its owner: Assemble Rumilionis.

- Stele out of red granite representing the geographical center of the Euro area until the December 31st 2006.
- the bridge Aqueduct which draws water of the Yonne to the Lac of Pannecière. It was built in 1841 to feed out of water the Canal of the Resident of Nevers. High 33m and length of 152m, it has 13 broad arches 8 m and its drain measures 28km length.
