Montreal-Is is an industrial town, which means that it includes/understands almost entirely only installations with industrial calling: oil refineries, factories petrochemical and chemical plants. They are the oldest installations of oil refining of Canada, going back to 1913. Royal Dutch Shell refines 161.000 barrels of petrol per day, Petro-Canada refines 160.000 of them, GULF refines of them 64.000 and Petromont refines 26.000 of them. Imperial the could settle in Montreal East soon. With Montreal-Is, it is refined 400.000 barrels of petrol per day approximately. This city belongs to the Agglomération of Montreal. To reach this municipality, it is necessary to use the Street Sherbrooke Is, the Street Our-Lady-Is, the Marien Avenue or by the multiple public highways who connect Montreal-Is and Points with Tremble. By public transport, you must take lines 186 (Sherbrooke-Is), 187 (Rene-Lévesque) and 189 (Notre-Dame Is) by the station Honore-Beaugrand.
