History

An imposing strong castle formerly drew up on one of the hills of montjoie the castle, it was surely built in XIIIe century and was increased later. it sucomba nearly 400 years later following a seat of more than three week during war the thirty year old. This seat opposat the men of Jean Georges de Montjoie, enthusiastic defenders of the castle to the men of the count de Rhin Otto-Louis, general of Suedois.Une first summation of the Swedish general was refused by Mr. de Montjoie, the fight will durra of long weeks, all attempt at approach of Swedish were dedicated to the failure, the garrison of the castle went, with court of ammunition, after a breach was practiced in the wall of enseinte castle following a long ramming. The seat finished in 1635 following three long weeks of battles. the garrison was made up prisoniere and the set fire to castle, it remains only queleques ruins today and a vault which was saved.
