Montgaillard is a common French, located in the department of Tarn-et-Garonne and the area the Midday-Pyrenees.

Geography
Montgaillard is an old village potter, located at the steps of Gers, between Saint-Clar (Gers) and Lavit de Lomagne (Tarn & the Garonne) Flowered and typical village, it is in the middle of five footpaths, which furrow this adorable corner of South-west. Lomagne was often baptized of " Tuscany française" because of its undulating landscapes, of its agricultural rural environment and its lights of the morning and evening.
History
The duchy of Guyenne The name of duchy of Guyenne was allotted to the duchy of Aquitaine when he was amputee by the conquests of kings de France. For the first time this name appears in the text of the treated of Paris (1229) concluded the April 12th 1229 between holy Louis and Raymond VII from Toulouse count de Toulouse, which yielded most of the Languedoc to the France and put an end to the Albigensian Crusade. In the small church of the village, a Holy statue of Rufine (or Ruffine?? ) was positioned back on August 5th, 2007. It is about a copy, the original having been catch there is a score of years. Sainte Rufine is the Patrone of the villages potters.
Personalities related to the commune
Rubens de Montgaillard which lived in second half of the 12th century and is the first lord whose name arrived to us made several donations with the abbey of Grandselve; Its successors, other lords of Montgaillard, imitated his example. The family Rubens de Montgaillard was to hold a certain row in the nobility of the region because we see Rubens attending in 1164 a donation made by Raymond V, count de Toulouse.
Charles-Maurice de Percin marquis de Montgaillard (Tarn-et-Garonne), member of a family originating in the past in England (Nothumberland - from where of Percin-Nothumberland), former colonel of the French Army with Champagne the Regiment, which had married Renee-Mauricette of Ploeuc, girl of the marquis of the Tymeur in Poullaouen (Finistere) Brittany, killed in 1675 Sebastien Balp one of the main leaders of the Révolte of the Red Bonnets, also named Révolte of the stamped paper. It transpierced by surprised Sebastien Balp of a blow of sword the night preceding the general insurrection whereas it was police custody by the Red Bonnets, with his brother Claude de Percin in the castle by Tymeur property of his wife in waiting of their imminent execution by the red Bonnets which said to want all to hang them with the windows of the castle. Sebastien Balp and its 600 Red Bonnets had previously invested and plundered of force the castle and all papers and files had burned some. Charles-Maurice de Percin had become the chief of the reaction peerage-book against the Breton popular insurrection and had just been congratulated by the Duc from Chaulnes for the success on its actions on mobilization on the Noblesse. The death of Sebastien Balp caused a general panic of all the insurrectionists present at Tymeur and signed the end of the revolt.
Charles-Maurice de Percin was the son of Pierre Paul de Percin and from Francoise de Murviel who had married in 1623 and he even Maria in 1663 with Renee Mauricette de Ploeuc.De this union was born a son: Joseph Jean Marie who died in 1703.Renée Mauricette de Ploeuc who was the girl of Sebastien de Ploeuc, marquis de Tymeur (+ 1644) and of Marie de Rieux (+ 1628) had married in first weddings with Donatien de Maillé, marquis de Carman (+ 1652) of which it had a son, Henri, deceased in 1715.
The family of Percin had receipt the seigniory at the 16th century. One found files on Bernard de Percin de Montgaillard known as " Small Feuillant" who had been born in Gascogne in 1563 and made himself famous for his preachings and the big role which he played in the businesses of the League. On order of Richelieu the castle of Montgaillard was burned at the 17th century but the family of Percin was rehabilitated by Louis XIV who set up the seigniory in marquisat in 1671.

Lord of Rocque and Bésodis, author of the branch of Lauret and Seilh (31) doctor in right, adviser-secretary of the King at the Parliament of Toulouse the 3/20/1553, became parliamentary in July following until in 1582, load taken again by his Valentine son. It was wire of Bertrand de Percin, lord of Montgaillard and Antoinette of Vaillet, both of noble and old house of the town of Toulouse.
