The name of the commune of Montfarville would come from a Viking chief during their invasion, named MORFART, from where the name of Morfarville. During time, too hard to pronounce, the name of this village was transformed into MONTFARVILLE.

  • the vault of the nave of the church is rich of 19 fabrics painted by Guillaume Fouace representing biblical scenes known like the Annunciation, the escape in Egypt or the walk of the Kings Mages. The Cène is reproduced in the chorus of the church. The characters are inspired inhabitants of the area, of which the woman of the painter.
