The course of Montcient
This small river takes its source in the south of the plate of the French Vexin, with Sailly (Yvelines), runs initially towards south-east before inflecting clearly towards the east to its entry in the commune of Hardricourt, where it moves towards the south. Then forming the limit between the communes of Hardricourt and Meulan, it runs the Bus shelter of Meulan parallel to on a few hundred meters before joining the latter approximately 400 meters before the common mouth in the Seine (arm of Mézy in front of the island Belle). In this residential area part of the course is underground.
It receives two notable affluents with Gaillonnet, hamlet of the commune of Seraincourt, the Bernon (5,3 km) out of left bank and the brook of Dalibray (1,3 km) out of Right Bank.
Its course is entirely in the Regional natural park of French Vexin.
It gave its name to the communes of Oinville-on-Montcient and Gaillon-on-Montcient.
