Montbeton

Montbeton is a common French, located in the department of Tarn-et-Garonne and the area the Midday-Pyrenees.

Geography

is located at the west of Montauban.
The village is accessible while coming from Montauban by the secondary road D151 and, in the south, by the road dépatementale D108. It is located at a few tens of kilometers of a62 highway and the trunk road N20.

History

Church of Montbeton Construction of the church 1878-1882

Beginning of construction on June 28th, 1878: masons of Toulouse as a majority. Architect: Bach of Toulouse. May 1st, 1879: blessing of the first stone by Monseigneur Legan. October 1880: the church is covered. May 1881: vaults. Stained glasses of Lavergne in April. Master Furnace bridge made in Angers, placed in March 1882. Made side furnace bridges with Montauban, placed the same year. Glosses coming from the living room of Paris of the marquis de Bellissen (silent partner of the church and the Bellissen center: old orphanage). Dedication: 4 June 14th, 1882 by the Delfies cardinal. Meal of 400 guests. Bells: melted with Mans, bénites by the cardinal on June 13rd. largest 20 quintals: Henri Therese; the second: 15 quintals: Maria Flora; the third: 10 quintals: Marie Caroline. Sponsor parish: N.D. of the Assumption.
