Montbazon

Montbazon is a common French, located in the department of Indre-et-Loire and the area Center. Its inhabitants is called montbazonais them.

Geography

History

Places and monuments

Keep of Montbazon , one of the first medieval keeps. It is worth visiting and was arranged for the public after years of abandonment.

In 2000, a project of restoration of the keep was launched grace an private initiative. Today (2007) consolidation work and of repair came to a end, allowing the reception of the public in the building.

Future the sections of work will allow the reopening of the underpasses and the installation of the various rooms of museums and reception of the public.
