Montarnaud
Montarnaud is a common French, located in the department of the Herault and the area Languedoc-Roussillon. Its inhabitants is called the " Montarnéens".
Geography
Located at the west of Montpellier it extends on the narrow plain from Mosson and its small Affluent S; a plain dominated by hills, and leant with a forest relief (approximately 200 m of altitude). The river Mosson takes its source very close to the village.
The commune is equipped with a Campanile, sign of an old opposition between the Église and the middle-class. The local economy is animated by the Viticulture, so that the vines are omnipresent in the Paysage plain. The Scrubland and wood covering the remainder of the communal territory.
Montarnaud is authentic, not very tourist, its inhabitants live and make it even live for them, with a dynamism only moved by the will to give and give pleasure.

Public equipment of the commune is a crêche, schools, a multi-media space, a library, a co-operative cellar with wine and a college. They were created to face the increase in the population caused by the Périurbanisation. To facilitate pendular displacements between Montarnaud and the zones of montpelliéraines employment, an exchanger was built on the Trunk road RN9 (future Autoroute A759) with height of Montarnaud.
