Montalembert (Two-Sevres)
Montalembert is a common French, located in the department of the Two-Sevres and the area Poitou-Charentes.
Geography
The commune of Montalembert gave its name to the Horst of Montalembert. Of tectonic origin, the horst of Montalembert is directed according to the granitic axis Armorican Massif/Massif Central, that is to say north-western/south-eastern. The horst of Montalembert is located near the horsts of Champagne-Saint-Hilaire and Ligugé. The horst of Montalembert constitutes a 9 km length remarkable hillock (altitude 186m) and 1 km broad, the wooded relief and the red clay grounds (manufacture of tiles, wood of chestnuts).
