Montaigne institute
The Institut Montaigne is a Think-tank ( tank of ideas ) French of tendency Libérale.
It was created in 2000 by Claude Bébéar, president of the board of trustees of the group AXA. It gathers executives of companies, top-civils servant and academics who work out proposals as regards public policies.
It organizes its work around three research orientations:
- Mobility and social cohesion: equal opportunity, social mobility, professional training, government of company, generosity of the public, legitimacy of the elites.
- Modernization of the public sphere: reform State, health system, education, research, justice, defense and safety, sport.
- Economic and European Strategy: Competitiveness, Intellectual property, European questions, agriculture, Universalization and regulation, man and climate
