The village was originally located vis-a-vis its current site, on the Lande, with the localities Mazières (date to be sought) . Besides this patronym appeared in the old name of the village (to be checked) . The old site is marked by a wood cross, at the edge of the D67f. It marks in fact the site of old the Cimetière (of the bones are visible besides in the slope which faces him).

The village moved for its current site, around old the Château (site occupied by the current school of the village), probably because of the various events which marked out the history of the Lauragais (war of the Albigensians, etc).

The village was located on the layout of the Train Noir which connected Revel to Toulouse (Dates) and had a Gare, still visible below the D1. It at that time counted two coffees and a grocer. Rare fact, it counted in the years 1990 still two service station (of which a garage) for 350 inhabitants, but closed today.

To face the risk of closing of the communal school, the municipality began in the years 1980 - 1990 in the way of the teaching regrouping with the common neighbors of Saint-Julia-of-Fat-Capou, Roumens and Cabanial. This regrouping made it possible to safeguard the schools and to propose services like a school bus service financed by the general advice of the Haute-Garonne. The success of this formula, due in party to the increase in population, is such as the municipalities of the regrouping consider today the idea of a single inter-commune school complex, to replace the current buildings.
