Etymology
Description

Reproduction, Life cycle and metamorphosis
The adult appears from July to mid-August.Les eggs is laid on the deadwood, especially of spruce.
Statute or threat
In strong regression and in the process of disappearance or extinct in many areas since several decades, probably because of rarefaction of the Large deadwood S and of the general Pollution of the environment by the Insecticidal S (rains, dew).
Food mode
This insect is not " “harmful” " , it consumes only the deadwood and plays an important ecological part by accelerating its transformation into forest Humus.
