Monneren

Monneren is a common French located in the department of the the Moselle.

Geography

History

  • Depended on the old province of the Three bishoprices.
  • Holy-Marguerite, additional of Monneren, was built into 1612/24 on order of the Duc of Lorraine.
  • Very old site on the Roman Way of Metz to Trier.
  • Lorraine Enclave attached to the seigniory of Sierck.
  • Became French in 1661.
