Monica Vitti
Monica Vitti , of its true name Maria Luisa Ceciarelli , is a Italian Actrice born with Rome the November 3rd 1931.
Biography
Graduate from the Academy of dramatic art of Rome (Accademia of arte drammatica Silvio d' Amico) in 1953, Monica Vitti begins its career from actress to the Théâtre and the Télévision. It turns its first Film in 1958 " Dritte". But it is its meeting with the realizer Michelangelo Antonioni who will launch truly his career while appearing in his larger films ( Avventura , the Eclipse , the Night , the red Desert …) where it is characterized by its cold beauty and its elegance. It becomes thus the egery of the realizer, which does not prevent it from turning with the large Italian scenario writers of the time such as Pasolini in Accattone or Scola in Drama of jealousy . It is made increasingly rare as from the Seventies in spite of great collaborations for example with Luis Buñuel in the Phantom of freedom .
