Monguilhem
Monguilhem is a common French, located in the department of the Gers and the area the Midday-Pyrenees.
Geography
History
The country house is created in 1319 by Annet of Toulouse, in paréage with the king Edouard II of England. It draws its name from the Sénéchal of the Marsan for the king of England, Guillaume de Montégut.

Old church of Saint-Pierre de Bérobie it does not remain about it any more any trace except some recovered stones having been used to build a shelter sheltering a representation of the appearance of Notre-Dame of Salette (construction made on the initiative of the Rivière abbot). The current church of Gothic style and is built out of bricks. The bell-tower is a high built rectangular tower it also out of bricks except the last stone stage. The interior was restored at the time of the mandate of the preceding mayor, Mr Bétun. The place, oversize in comparison with the size of the village, is bordered of some beautiful residences, inter alia that sheltering the administrative services of the ESAT Essor.

Jacques Tapiau, Main baker, who at the side of Professor Calvel made bear fruit the bakery of French tradition in Japan and in South Korea.Abbot Jean-Marie CAZAURAN (Monguilhem, May 2nd, 1845 - Mirande, October 10th, 1910) - Author of a monograph of Monguilhem, its native village, published in 1874 and republished. After secondary studies with the college of Pleasure of Gers then to the small seminar of Auch it entered to the great seminar of the same place and was pointed out by its intelligence. After six years of vicariate it went to Rome to continue its clerical studies there and obtained the rank of Doctor of Divinity. From 1876 it was named archivist and ecclesiastical professor of history to the great seminar. It gave érudites publications regularly inter alia many monographs concerning of the churches of Gers. One owes him also the annotated edition of Cartulaire de Berdoues published in $the Hague in 1905, reference book for the historians. In 1898 it fur named cleaned of Mirande.
